Women in Series (WinS)
A safe social learning and career networking and mentoring space
In an era where global progress towards achieving UN Sustainability Goal SDG5, Gender Equality, remains uneven and corporate and organizational inequalities of the past persist, there arises a pressing need for sustainable and meaningful transformative initiatives. Enter the Women in Series (WinS) initiative – a visionary response to this pressing issue, emerging as a beacon of hope to unite career women from early-career graduates and apprentices to seasoned professionals or captains of industry across UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. With an unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive leadership and career advancement for women in bespoke sectors, WinS stands at the forefront of pioneering sustainable change.

In the corporate landscape, leadership development and career mentoring initiatives for women have been gaining traction, but are sadly often nothing more than chat forums, conveniences pages on corporate intranets or glitzy annual awards events, with limited meaningful and sustainable impact. WinS recognises the critical importance of equality, diversity and inclusivity and steps into this under-served void to provide a purpose-driven, program-managed, and mobile App-enabled solution, with powerful engagement analytics. It offers a unique sanctuary where women in common work sectors can engage in honest, open, and ambitious career-oriented conversations, free from the fear of judgment or criticism.

Moreover, WinS, with its innovative approach, bridges the gap between early career development academic excellence and real-world leadership, creating a new talent bridge between business government and academia where women can thrive and develop the skills, knowledge and connections necessary to break through the glass ceiling.

In a world marked by persistent gender disparities, our Women in Series aspires to be the catalyst for lasting change, empowering women to care, share, and dare together as they strive for equal and fairer footing.
WinS embodies the spirit of genuine collaboration, purpose-driven unity, and real women empowerment, thereby championing a future where gender equality is not just a goal but a lived reality.

Our WinS Founder's Story
Meet the visionary behind the Women in Series (WinS) movement, Shelley Coleman-Marsh, co-founder of KMG and a seasoned entrepreneur with over three decades of corporate and business acumen. Shelley's journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for women to excel in both their professional and personal lives.

In her early years, Shelley embarked on a path few dared to tread, with a background in structural engineering. She confronted the formidable challenges of a male-dominated and patriarchal culture, where women were often discouraged from pursuing careers in engineering. However, her determination and resilience set her on a trajectory towards breaking barriers and inspiring change.

Shelley's dedication to empowering women didn't stop at her own success. For the past two decades, she has been at the helm of a multi-award-winning structured mentoring business, leading the charge in mentoring and nurturing talent. Her expertise in this field led her to serve as a judge on the Gender Mainstream Awards program for eight years in South Africa, where she gained invaluable insights into the disparity between corporate executive ideals of gender equality and the real experiences of program participants.

Upon relocating to the UK and co-founding Knowledge Mentoring (Global), Shelley's vision crystallized into WinS. It emerged from her profound understanding that the challenges and experiences faced by women in their careers, whether in Africa or Europe, were remarkably similar. Through extensive Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity (DEI) research conducted in collaboration with master's degree students at Surrey University in Guildford, Shelley solidified her commitment to bridging these gaps.

Shelley Coleman-Marsh's journey, marked by resilience, empathy, and a tireless pursuit of gender equality, forms the very foundation of WinS. Her personal experiences and tireless dedication have given birth to a movement that promises to reshape the future for women in both corporate and academic spheres, providing them with the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
