Code of Conduct
Power Up: My Energy Future Sprint – Participant Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Last updated: 30/10/2026
Power Up is a safe, respectful space for women to learn, share and grow. Every participant, mentor, speaker and team member agrees to this Code.
1. Respect everyone
-
Treat others with courtesy, kindness and patience.
-
Value different backgrounds, countries, languages, beliefs and experience.
-
Disagree politely, and challenge ideas, not people.
-
No bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, or sexual or offensive language or images.
2. Keep contact within the programme
-
Use the KMG app and official Power Up sessions to talk with mentors and other participants.
-
Mentors and team members will not ask for private contact by WhatsApp, social media or phone, or try to meet you in person.
-
Never ask for or offer money, gifts, favours or personal relationships.
-
If anyone asks you to move to private contact, or makes you feel uncomfortable, please tell us.
3. Protect privacy
-
Do not record, screenshot or share sessions, or anyone's personal details, without permission.
-
Share only what you are comfortable sharing. Never post passwords, ID numbers or bank details.
-
Respect the confidentiality of what others share in sessions.
4. Be a good learning partner
-
Join sessions on time where you can, and take part honestly.
-
Keep your camera off if you prefer. That is always fine.
-
Use the chat and Q&A to help others learn, not for advertising or selling.
-
Do your own work in Knowledge Quest challenges.
5. Stay safe online
-
Be careful with links and messages claiming to be from Power Up. We will only contact you from @knowledgementoring.com addresses and the KMG app.
-
We will never ask you to pay to take part.
-
If something feels wrong, stop and contact us.
6. Raising a concern
If you are worried about your own safety or someone else's, or you see behaviour that breaks this Code, please contact our Safeguarding Lead:
-
Safeguarding Lead: [Safeguarding Lead]
-
Deputy: Phil Marsh
We will take every concern seriously. We will treat it confidentially and acknowledge it within 2 working days. We will only share information when needed to keep people safe. You will not be treated unfairly for raising a concern in good faith. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
7. If the Code is broken
We may give a warning, remove messages or content, suspend access, or remove someone from Power Up. Where the law requires, we may report serious matters to the relevant authorities.
8. Your agreement
By registering, you agree to follow this Code throughout Power Up.
