1. Who we are
Power Up is run by Knowledge Mentoring (Global) Limited (KMG), a company registered in England and Wales (number 11771555). Our registered office is Block 2, Studio 2011, Guildford Plaza, Bury Street, Guildford, GU2 4AQ, United Kingdom. KMG is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
KMG is responsible for your personal information. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) for every participant, wherever you live. Our South African group company, Mentoring 4 Success (Pty) Ltd (M4S), supports delivery in South Africa and works under our instructions.
2. What we collect

Registration details: your name, country, mobile number, email address, age group and engineering profile.

Your answers about your career interests, confidence and mentoring experience.

Programme activity: session attendance, Knowledge Quest progress and survey answers, recorded in the KMG app.

Recordings, photos and quotes, only if you agree.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, ethnicity, religion or political views. Please do not share it with us.
3. Why we use it

To register you and set up your KMG app account.

To run the programme, including sessions, mentoring, challenges, certificates and badges.

To keep everyone safe and respond to safeguarding concerns.

To measure results and report them to our funder.

To contact you about future KMG programmes, only if you agree.
Our legal reasons are: providing the programme you signed up for under our Terms & Conditions; our legitimate interests in running a safe and well-managed programme; and your consent, for recordings, publicity and future contact.
4. Who we share it with

Our funder, OPITO International FZ-LLC (OPITO MEA), in the UAE. We share combined, anonymous results only, such as the number of participants by country. We only share your photo, video, name or quotes if you have given separate permission.

Volunteer mentors and session hosts, who see only what they need, such as your first name and profile.

Our service providers, including Wix (our website and registration form) and [app hosting provider(s) and location(s)]. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

M4S, our group company, for programme delivery support in South Africa.
We never sell your personal information.
5. Sending information across borders
Your information will be stored and used outside your home country, including in the United Kingdom. Where we send it to a country without equivalent data protection laws, we use recognised safeguards such as approved contract terms.
6. How long we keep it

We copy registration details into the KMG app, then delete them from our website within 30 days.

We keep programme records for [retention period], then delete them.

We may keep anonymous statistics indefinitely, because they do not identify you.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:

see the information we hold about you;

correct it;

delete it;

stop or limit how we use it;

withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under your local data protection law. We will respect those rights.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority in your own country. Please contact us first so we can try to help.
8. Age
Power Up is for adults aged 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has registered, we will delete their information.
9. Keeping your information safe
We use password-protected systems, limit access to named staff and only keep what we need.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. You can choose which ones to accept through the cookie banner.
