Power Up: My Energy Future Sprint – Programme Terms & Conditions Last updated: 30/10/2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you register for and take part in Power Up: My Energy Future Sprint ("Power Up"). Power Up is run by Knowledge Mentoring (Global) Limited ("KMG", "we", "us"). It is funded by My Energy Future powered by OPITO. By registering, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Notice and our Code of Conduct.

2. Who can take part

Power Up is open to women aged 18 or over who live or work in Africa. You must give true and accurate details when you register. We may decline or cancel a registration that does not meet these conditions.

3. What Power Up offers

Power Up is a free online programme that may include:

  • live online sessions and mentoring and allyship sessions;

  • Knowledge Quest challenges on the KMG app;

  • an online showcase;

  • a certificate and digital badges for those who complete it.

We may change session dates, times, speakers or content where needed. We will tell you about any important changes.

4. What Power Up is not

Power Up builds awareness, confidence and networks. It is not a job placement service, a recruitment agency or an accredited qualification. We do not promise jobs, interviews, work placements or professional registration. Certificates and badges confirm your participation only.

5. Your part

You agree to:

  • follow the Code of Conduct;

  • keep your app login details private and not share your account;

  • use the programme and the KMG app only for your own learning;

  • tell us promptly if your contact details change.

You are responsible for your own device, internet and data costs. Sessions are recorded so you can catch up if your data or time is limited.

6. Recordings

Live sessions may be recorded so participants can catch up. If you have not agreed to appear on camera, please keep your camera off. You must not record, screenshot or share sessions, or other participants' details, without permission.

7. Content and ownership

All programme materials, the KMG app and Knowledge Quest belong to KMG or its licensors. You may use them for your own learning during the programme. You may not copy, sell or share them. You keep ownership of any work you create. You allow us to use it for running the programme and, if you have agreed, in reports and publicity.

8. Ending your place

You can leave Power Up at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or remove you if you break these terms or the Code of Conduct, or if we need to protect the safety of others.

9. Our responsibility

We will run Power Up with reasonable care and skill. Power Up is free and offered for learning only. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or power failures. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep taking part after a change, you accept the updated terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not remove any rights you have under the laws of your own country.
