Gender Equality (SDG 5)

The KMG 'Women in...Series' (W.in.S) initiatives are not events or programmes
-
they're designed and led as murmurations of meaning with momentum
-
they're scalable, fluid, synchronised by intent and not instruction
-
they're purpose-driven, reacting in real-time, without a single leader and yet achieve remarkable cohesion and direction
Utilising the intrinsic value of social networks, communities of common purpose and the exponential power of access to a trusted tribe, KMG's "Women In...Series" (W.in.S) liberates female students, graduates and professionals from feeling overwhelmed by content and events and provides a professionally managed supporting ecosystem designed and led by women for women across the engineering and construction sector.
Just enough, just in time and just for you.
.
Powered by our bespoke Software with a Service (SwaS) platform and managed as a movement, W.in.S offers women in the Built Environment access to safe social learning, thematic conversations that matter, collaborative mentoring, professional development support and self-actualising career networking. And it's always on, anywhere and anytime - just for you.

Our W.in.S Founder's Story
Meet Shelley Coleman Marsh
Meet the visionary behind the Women in Series (WinS) movement, Shelley Coleman-Marsh, co-founder of KMG and a seasoned entrepreneur with over three decades of corporate and business acumen. Shelley's journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for women to excel in both their professional and personal lives.

In her early years, Shelley embarked on a path few dared to tread, with a background in structural engineering. She confronted the formidable challenges of a male-dominated and patriarchal culture, where women were often discouraged from pursuing careers in engineering. However, her determination and resilience set her on a trajectory towards breaking barriers and inspiring change.
Shelley's dedication to empowering women didn't stop at her own success. For the past two decades, she has been at the helm of a multi-award-winning structured mentoring business, leading the charge in mentoring and nurturing talent. Her expertise in this field led her to serve as a judge on the Gender Mainstream Awards program for eight years in South Africa, where she gained invaluable insights into the disparity between corporate executive ideals of gender equality and the real experiences of program participants.
Upon relocating to the UK and co-founding Knowledge Mentoring (Global), Shelley's vision crystallized into WinS. It emerged from her profound understanding that the challenges and experiences faced by women in their careers, whether in Africa or Europe, were remarkably similar. Through extensive Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity (DEI) research conducted in collaboration with master's degree students at Surrey University in Guildford, Shelley solidified her commitment to bridging these gaps.

Shelley Coleman-Marsh's journey, marked by resilience, empathy, and a tireless pursuit of gender equality, forms the very foundation of WinS. Her personal experiences and tireless dedication have given birth to a movement that promises to reshape the future for women in both corporate and academic spheres, providing them with the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
